2015 – A year of testing, assessing and optimizing trend-setting technologies that will improve speed, efficiency and ROI for ardent clients.

At ardent we’ve spent the year working with clients on revolutionary technologies and practices that we believe will lead the way in creating, Business Applications, Ecommerce, Business Analytics and all sorts of technologies that will lead to better businesses of the future.

To break it down and give a little more insight into what ardent has been focusing upon:

  • Business Applications and Apps – The trend is to build business applications that are designed for ease of use on the web and that adapt to handheld devices.

Platforms are emerging that enable single agile, built and scalable on premise or on cloud deployments. Application teams must deliver cloud-based apps that provide rich user experience (UX) across all devices.

ardent is focusing on niche Open Source Technologies including single page applications using the Model View Controller (MVC) that lead the way in enabling rich UX. Over the last year ardent developers have been busy moving ardent products and customer systems to the latest Cloud and Rich Application driven architecture.

  • Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) – For any ETL activity the quality of data is the key to producing real & accurate information and reports.

The process of collecting, processing and loading this data into Business Analytics systems or any Dynamic Management Reporting tool is not always simple. Many organizations have data spread across various disparate systems that need to come together to produce, clean and correct data on which to report. It doesn’t really matter where the data comes from, as long as it is clean & correct, it will work. Estimated spend on correcting the data form is 80% of the cost of an ETL project!!

ardent is working, together with key clients, creating cutting edge technology in building proficient, intelligent data collecting and cleaning systems that will reduce the overall cost of ETL implementations.

  • Databases – NoSQL databases will take a further hold.

NoSQL are on the rise in popularity as developers like them for being highly scalable and cloud ready. Most recently Marriott Group adopted NoSQL to lead their way into the Cloud. A large number of well-known brands are joining the NoSQL club and ardent developers are using NoSQL databases on proofs-of-concept for a variety of clients. We are also working on variants of NoSQL to advise customers on the advantages of NoSQL compared to the traditional SQL databases.

  •  Internet of Thing platforms (IoT) – Enterprises that want to embrace IoT must have a clear platform strategy……..

…based on a full understanding of the differences in standards of competing vendors. A rich user experience and agile, integrated architecture that allows any user to gain the benefits of the technology in an easy and simple way, is the key to success. ardent is working with some leading providers of Digital Signage and EPOS solutions in order to establish a firm foothold in the IoT space.

And the year ahead – 2016 is going to be an excitingly tech-rich year

A decade ago, we would all worry about storing and retrieving data and information using efficient technology and optimising our hardware and network resources. Today, with the kind of computing power that Cloud technologies and providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and Google bring to the table, it’s more about how we will efficiently interpret and infer the petabytes of data and information that is stored on our systems or on the web.

Internet of Everything is the new phenomena and it brings together, people, process, data and all things that will make the connections between them more relevant and valuable. In the process IoE will create tremendous new opportunities for richer experiences and new actionable intelligence from multiple sources.

At ardent we are really looking forward to 2016. We are excited by the fruition of investments we’ve made with our clients to move in new directions, adopt new trend-setting technologies, re-train our teams and re-align our processes and systems. The overall aim is to help our clients build THE enterprises of the future, driven by efficient and powerful technology.

There’s just so much going on in the technology space that here at ardent we have no doubt that 2016 will be fast & furious and we hope you enjoy the journey with us.

All at ardent wish you a very happy, healthy & prosperous 2016 – Regards  Ashish Raina
